INTRO TO AFTER EFFECTS

 I had a digital photograph task to create a animation from Photoshop file. The given photoshop file is formed by four different images on the background of wooden coloured texture. The four different images are :

・Typewriter

・Fencer

・Shark

・Projector

The images of given file is as shown below.

I started my own project from planning about how should I create animation from here.

When I first look at the image, I realize that there might be a relationship between projector and typewriter, then I come up the ideas related to the movie. The reason for this is because projector is used to show the movie and typewriter is used for advertise movie. Both shark and fencer can be main part of the movie.

After finishing planning, I decided to create a animation using Adobe After effect.

Progress

First of all, I started my project from making animation for the projector, I already decided that projector will come up from nothing by rotating itself. I make this idea from opening screen from classic movie as shown below.

After I finish creating animation for projector, I also created animation for typewriter too. I create animation for typewriter based on its function of typewriter itself which moves after finishing writing text line by line.

As The progress so far, The movie I made had became as shown below.

After designing animation for two images, projector and typewriter, I moved to another animation, shark and fencer.

When I design animation for shark, I tried to represent fast movement of the shark, therefore I planned to finish animation for shark for 1 second, but unfortunatelly I nade mistake to start animation from beginning of the video, as the result, the speed of shark become slower than I expect, so I fixed the point where animation starts much earlier.

After making animation for shark, I start to make animation for fencer. First of all, I realized that it's too oring to just make an animation to move fencer in 2d way, so I decided to add 3d feature to move more realistically. however, it's not easy as said. I have to think about rotation and proportion, when I flip the image oif fencer too much, it goes too weird, however, less angle makes less impressive for realistic outlook. I carefully adjust each parameter and finally completed animation.
