1, Introduction

In this module, we've learnt about story structure, which requires coherent formation and strategy so audience can take care. Structure is also able to be said the organization of a story itself so audience can take care characters in the story. The story itself must be build in correct order to tell theme to tell to the audiences, additionally, the story/plot can be divided into three different parts and each different parts have unique roles.

2, Structure and theme

The theme itself might be similar to what we've learnt, it is all about the message that creator wants to tell to te audiences, for example, it's is going to be "Let child to go to grow up", basically, theme can be moral for main character (protagonist) to learn from their needs, trough the story, character (protagonist) struggle trough the event or problem to achieve their want, however they start to realise what they really needs. This idea is very similar to the character settings theory we've learnt. The realised things that character in the story has learnt is going to be the main theme for the story that author mainly wants to tell in the story. As I explained so far, theme is the one of the key to create agreat stories for audiences, however, there is also ways to tell message, this is called "structure", the formation of how each events happens through storiesto tell message is really important and you can't mess up the order of events happening, it cause confuse to the audiences and you must consider the structure of the sequence and the order of the story.

3, 3 Acts

The story itself can be divided into 3 different group, Act 1, Act 2 and Act 3, each act has its own unique and important role to express stories and it's necessary to understand each role andd structure to understand how to make a good story. To sum up theere acts, there are separated to express different parts of story depends on the role of them.

1, Act 1

This is the section where the story introduced, like introduction of most fairytale we know, "Once upon a time...", this is the section to establish the elements for the story such as character, world, villan and conflict.
This section can be explained very easily, in this section, the story settings and characters are explained, at the same time, the character's normal life is also explained, however, the conflict that is going to lead big trouble or event that main character is going to immerse is also introduced at this point.

2, Act 2

After introducing all of information that audiences need to know, the act 2, which force characters to make difficult dicisions through their incident. Pixar calls the chain of these events as "Journey", through this journey, characters are going to make choices to the problem ther're facing to. Act 2 is able to be said sequence of choice to te problem and its cause. Characters in the story are going to solve the problems(struggles) to achieve their wants, but they are going to learn more important thing, needs, in the end of the story, they learn really important thing (theme). Creator must make characters in the story to make difficult and harder decisions to grown character, these are called "challendge". In the sequence of challendge, sometimes character goes to the moment called "low point", which is the moment when all hopes seems to be lost or achieve wants but still feeling miserable, this can be the chance that character realise their needs. This low point is the end point oof act 2 and lead to the climax of the story.

3, Act 3

This is the section where characters has learns their needs or important things from difficult moment (low point) and achieve what he/she wants and learn what he/she needs. Their lesson (things has been learnt) is going to be a moral of story and theme of the story.In the end of the story, character might face the problem to test what they learn, in Nemo Nemo's father, Marlin trust his son Nemo and let him go to rescue Dory. The important thing they fight for in last fight is important thing, which is the moral and theme for the story.Ending of story must be satisfied by solving the biggest problem the characters were facing to, so audiences can understand the things (theme) trying to tell.

4, Story development idea

Before end up thie e-portfolio, I have to create story ideas for 1 minutes 2D animations, through these modules, I've done to create my own story given inspiration from Pixar short. The submission form is PDF, therefore allow me to apply my story idea here as PDF form.
