When I research about CONCEPTUAL PRODUCT, I was thinking about the theme I am going to express. This is because every artwork always have something to express like message to the society or information to tell…While I was looking through the conceptual product which looks like real, but not able to exists in real life. I found the advertisement poster of Doritos, I found the ideas to import the related image to the main photograph I am going to use, after that, I’ve made several sketches and finally reached the idea of “mobile phone addicted” as my message.

Since I entered to the University, I found myself to spend more time to use my mobile phone. I sometimes found myself spend an hour to use mobile phone, therefore I realized that this is a good chance to warn everybody about too much usage of mobile phone.

After that, I made a different ideas to express phone addiction, firstly I tried to use charging cable to connect body and mobile phone, but I reject this idea because I thought taking the photo of my arm may be seem difficult, after that, I tried to use　handcuff tonnect mobile phone and hand, but I reject this idea too because handling light become much harder if I use the image from the internet. As the results I use the image of food I’ve taken before to represents phone addiction as “holding mobile phone as holding food every day”.

I have made several ideas and make a mock up version of the designs, My plan was about choosing one out of three food to be used in the final outcome, hamburger, char kway teow or cheese tomato soup rissot. For the reason of the message and difficulties, I have chosen the last one to be used in the final output.

The main theme of this Conceptual artwork is “Addiction”, the image itself is formed by photograph of my own mobile phone with my Today’s lunch and my hand holding spoon.

I made this image by using Photo Photo to firstly using pen tool to remove screen of the mobile phone, then I duplicate the image of lunch into two and I remove one’s background which is going to be placed front of mobile phone image, after that, I insert the image of my hand holding spoon.

I tried to represent the mobile phone addiction and SNS addiction. Both SNS and internet may be seemed real for us when We use internet, but in the end, they’re all the matter of “virtual”, even though the connection with somebody who doesn’t meet before may be very friendly, the connection through internet is easily breakable. I trid to represent this as lunch jar which may be able to be seen as “eatable”, but because of that the food itself s completely “virtual”, We can’t eat this at all. I tried to represent the virtual can’t be trusted easily in this image.

Originally, I was planning to use hamburger, but I can't insert the image inside of the mobile phone, therefore I reject the idea to use hamburger.
