2, Introduction

Today, I was learnt about golden ratio used for the design. First of all, what is the golden ratio at all? It's the widely used design ratio in the design that represent the ratio of design which provide us natural looking and nice composition. This design ratio ,1:1.618 , is formed by fibonatti sequence, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21.... (The mathmatics sequence that continueing sum of the previous two numbers), if the squares having the distance of the number of fibonatti sequences gathered together, we can easily find the golden ratio as vertical and triangle side. This rectangle is called "Golden Rectangle". We can also find the curved line within the golden rectangle called "Golden Spiral".

What's the main purpose of the Golden ratio? There are mainly three reasons to use this golden ratio, firstly, it can provide both vertical and horizontal layout dimentions, this golden ratio is widely used for making balanced design, therefore using this golden ratio can provide suitable design ratio, secondaly, Golden ratio can provide us visual layout about where the every visual elements should be placed, rather than guessing placement, this calculated form can provide us much balanced and much readable design.

Finally, this golden ratio can provide us perfect visual guide for determining the way to see the content, As the spiral goes to the centre, the importance of the visual elements mcuh higher, therefore you shuld place most important information in the centre of the spiral.

As you've look through, golden ratio can provide us much balanced and comfortable images.

In my analogue collage works, I tried to use this golden ratio to make y work much attractive.

In the week3, we had a lecture to create a physical collage work, in week 3, we had a continuous work to produce physical collage. Unfortunatelly, I lost some of the piece of magazine I got, but I finally concrete my idea and I finally made my final output for my work.

After making several working, I decided to use the last one as final collage artwork. In this collage artwork I surely used Golden spiral so left side musicians to attract attention to the viewers. The problem of this artwork is background, even though I made a complete collage work, I regret because the background is too complex to use, in the result, This artwork is not stable to see.

In this week, we also started to create digital collage, however, I didn't have my own photoshop at that time, therefore, my work is going to be in the week 4.
