1, Introduction

In this module, we've learn about solid drawing which is about the way to design characters for animation, however we can't just draw the characters you like, there is a stable rules that everyone must follow for better animatio production.

2, Solid drawing rules

There are several rules that designers must follow their own for better character designs, unlike illustration you draw, the design itself must be simple to reresent the characteristic for particular characters to represent their information simply and efficiently.

You should also emphasize the part of body or primary shape of character in the first look, every primitive chapes have their ouwn meaning such as trianular as strong and scary and round as friendly. You should use colour tooo to emphasize the personalities and characteristics of the characters.

I watched the tutorial video shown below and then I moved to my own creation.

3, my own creation

After we had a lecture about how to make our own solid drawing, I started to make our own design. First of all, I started from decision of primary shape and I choose sharp triangle to loooks strong and mysterious. 

I was oiginally planning to make a vampire, however I already made a vamipire drawing therefore I decided to make a robber from steampunk wild west like my own illustration I made before.

To make a triangular characters I used the references from video game characters, alucard form castlevania and Sephiloth from Final Fantasy 7. In my opinion, both characters are triangular and good example for my project.

The base colour I mainly used was red to represent the violent and strength from him impression and I also hide his mouth so I can also add a mysterious impression.

I regret to use much more darker colour to represent his quiet impression aalthoyh the impression itself has become such a energetic although I was aiming cool and quiet, and mysterious guy.
