In this week's module, we've learnt about the stretching and squeezing of object in 3D editing software Blender. The technique itself is easy as making movement in blender, however, there are still technique exists to create high quality bouncing animation. Another point to focus is some editing I've done in previous work I've done and posted in last week. This is because when I applied the squeezing and squash into my animation, the rotation of has got bit weird and I thought I needed to adjust the rotation's degree.
2, Squeeze and Squash
The process of squeeze and squah in blender animation is simple. In the blender, the onject for animation, there are wired cylinder existed both over top of the object and below the bottom of the object, the similar to the adjusting size of object in 3 different direction, you can just drag these two cylinder to stretch and squeeze object. To make squeeze and squash animation, you can just squeeze/stretch object in two different timeline to make it. It is as easy as making movement in blender (which placeing object in dfferent location in different timeline), so like the adjusting the object movement, you can adjust the speed of object easily in the section of timeline. The all work I've done in the creation of squeeze and squash can be explained in these text.
3, Real creation
After understanding ideas about stretching and squeezing of ball, I moved to the process to create actuall work of bouncing ball. I start to make a bouncing ball animation like a previous project I've done from past ball bouncing animation I've done last week. The making process itself is same as explained above, changing the shape by draging cylinder object exist above the ball to adjust the size of ball to make a bouncing animation, it stretch the ball when it increase speed, but it squash its shape when it lands on the ground.
The problem happends when I tried to make the ball squash, because I only use 1 frame for time when the ball lands, but to make an animation of squashing and squeeze, I was required to provide 2 frames to make squash scene, therefore I change the structure of frames of bouncing so the animation looks much more nice.
